Alice in Wonderland has been one of my favourite films and books since I was very young and I was very excited to hear that Tim Burton was going to be directing a modern version of the film. This fantasy film is an adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novels Alice Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Tim Burton will be using techniques combining live action and motion capture technology to make the film as magical as it needs to be to fully do the book justice; and no doubt the magical and bizarrely constructed wonderland will be something spectacular as the advances in modern technology combined with Tim Burton's imagination means he is able to perfectly create his vision. Clips of the film seen so far show that the set and the makeup and costume lives up to Tim Burton's usual standards and is ultimately original and truly incredible. The film is going to be released in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D as well as 2D to allow the audience to really feel as if they are in this mystical world. This film will be a huge advance in both motion graphics and film and is expected to be a film like nothing ever seen before. The cast includes Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter,Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. The film is to be released in March 2010 and I am already extremely excited about watching it!!
